About Us

Organization Description
The Salamanca Borrero Foundation – SalBo is a non-profit organization created to actively contribute to the elimination of cervical cancer, a preventable disease that still claims lives, especially among women in vulnerable contexts. It was born out of a family experience with cervical cancer that motivated its founders to work toward awareness, prevention, education, and social, legal, and community mobilization around the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and cervical cancer.

SalBo’s mission is to prevent and eliminate this disease through educational actions, awareness-raising campaigns, promotion of vaccination and screening, advocacy in public policy, and social mobilization, aligned with the WHO’s global 90-70-90 strategy and the Sustainable Development Goals.
